The Surgical Weight Loss Center is a joint venture between Connecticut Surgical Group and Hartford Hospital. The comprehensive program began when Dr. Darren S. Tishler joined Connecticut Surgical Group in August 2004. Dr. Tishler performed the first minimally invasive procedure for weight loss at Hartford Hospital in January 2005.
 
Dr. Pavlos K. Papasavas joined the surgical weight loss program in January, 2008, bringing with him significant surgical experience along with the same focus on safe and effective surgical treatment for weight loss that the program provides.

Our goal is to ensure the highest quality of care for each patient using a comprehensive approach and minimally invasive procedures. To achieve that goal we have established a comprehensive program using the most up-to-date equipment and technology.
