  • How many active staff have privileges at Hartford Hospital?
    There are currently over 2,100 active staff with privileges at Hartford Hospital. CLICK HERE to query our online doctor database.
     
  • How and when does the Credentials Committee meet?
    The Credentials Committee meets on the first Monday of every month.
      
  • How long does the application/credentialing process take?
    For Medical Staff: Your privileges will be approved 45-90 days after receipt of the application.

    For Adjunct Staff: Your privileges will be approved 45-90 days after receipt of the application.

    We suggest you make an appointment for an interview with the Department Director while your application is in process.
     
  • How do I change my staff status (for example I am currently on the Active Staff and I want to transfer to the Courtesy Staff)?
    You need to contact the Director of the department to which you have privileges, as well as the Manager of the Medical Staff Office.
     
  • How do I change (add/delete) my privileges?
    You need to contact the Director of the department to which you have privileges, as well as the Manager of the Medical Staff Office.
     
  • How do I go on LOA (leave of absence)?
    You need to contact the Director of the department to which you have privileges, as well as the Manager of the Medical Staff Office.
     
  • Who needs to be notified of a change in address?
    Contact the Medical Staff Office at (860) 545-2585. Note that it is important to keep both office and home addresses current.
