CHESS - Prostate CancerA Network of Support
Facing prostate cancer can be a frightening and difficult experience.
Dealing with this often-unexpected diagnosis is made easier with clear information, assistance with challenging decisions and emotional support. Your health care team will provide you with information about prostate cancer. You may think of other questions when you are not with a health care professional or you may be afraid or embarrassed to ask certain questions.
That is why CHESS was developed at the Center for Health Systems Research and Analysis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is available to you through The Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center here at Hartford Hospital. CHESS provides you with a way to get good information about prostate cancer in the comfort of your home, any time of the day or night, at no cost to you!
You do not need computer experience nor do you need to own your own computer to use CHESS. We will provide you with a computer and Internet access and we will teach you how to use them. There are no charges for the computer, Internet access or training. Hartford Hospital is committed to providing you with as much useful information as possible in a user-friendly format.

NOTE: The Coping with Prostate Cancer module is currently undergoing maintenance and is unavailable. During this time we are not taking registrations for this program. We hope to have the module available soon.
