Medical/Psychiatric Young Adult Services Psychotherapy Group
Department:   Psychiatry
Description:

ARE YOU A YOUNG ADULT
COPING WITH STRESS
FROM A NEW OR CHRONIC
MEDICAL CONDITION?

The divisions of Health Psychology, Neuropsychology, and Young Adult Services are pleased to offer a therapeutic support group for young adults (17-26 years old) who are struggling with co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions.

This psychotherapy group will provide patients an opportunity to grieve the losses and limitations brought on by their medical conditions, while maintaining a future oriented focus. By modifying hopes, expectations, and plans in an empathic environment patients will support one another in their pursuit of fulfilling and meaningful lives.

This weekly group, led by Dr. David Bendor, meets Wednesdays at 3pm, Conference Room, Young Adult Services Center Building, Institute of Living campus

Patients, families, and referring providers seeking additional information may contact Dr. Bendor directly.
